If your yard is anything like mine, you re going to love what Lowe s is doing this spring.
Lowe s recently announced a company wide effort to inspire people to transform their homes and yards into their own destination places. After all, we ve been spending a LOT more time at home lately.
To that end Lowe s is giving away free Garden-To-Go kits on Thursdays through the month of April. This week s kit is a Miracle-Gro planting kit but you need to register one week before the giveaway.
That just means it s time to register for the rest of the kits. The giveaway on April 15th is a Mystery Garden Pinata kit. You won t know what s inside it until you crack it open, but you know it s going to be something to make your yard a more pleasant place to hang out this spring and summer.

SC reports 641 new COVID-19 cases, 7 deaths Monday

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 641 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and seven confirmed deaths Monday, April 5. This information is accurate as of April 2.
Today’s report brings the total number of people with confirmed cases since the outbreak began to 467,750 and confirmed deaths remain at 8,111.
Two of the confirmed deaths happened in mid-March.

DHEC also announced 345 new probable cases of the virus and one new probable death. That brings the total of probable cases to 88,719 and the total number of probable deaths at 1,092 in the state since the outbreak began.
Dow, S&P 500 Reach New Record Highs On Strong Economic Data
WASHINGTON (dpa-AFX) - With traders returning to their desks following the long holiday weekend, stocks have moved mostly higher in morning trading on Monday. The advance on the day has lifted the Dow and the S&P 500 to new record intraday highs.
In recent trading, the major averages have reached new highs for the session. The Dow is up 362.78 points or 1.1 percent at 33,515.99, the Nasdaq is up 180.01 points or 1.3 percent at 13,660.12 and the S&P 500 is up 49.95 points or 1.2 percent at 4,069.82.
The rally on Wall Street comes as traders finally have an opportunity to react to the monthly jobs report, which was released while the markets were closed on Friday.
